A radically new way to read people's body language
Another day, another cheeky/sneaky podcast recommendation. I've talked about the Art of Charm a million times over, so I'm going to stick to the specific guest who was on their show recently: Chase Hughes. The topic of this podcast episode was body language. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Probably yet another lecture about all kinds of lifehacks with body language."
Don't worry, this is very different.
Mr. Hughes has been in the US military for over 20 years and teaches interrogation and behavior science on a tactical level. He explains his fascinating tool called The Behavioral Table of The Elements, which is like the Periodic Table in chemistry, which you can use to accurately analyze the body language of other people. It's an easily downloadable JPG file, although it might seem a bit overwhelming at first if you don't listen to the episode along with it. I honestly never even knew that we are capable of such an extraordinary amount of microexpressions.
His book seems very interesting as well, so if you're in the reading mood (which you always should be!) then go for it!
I also put a link to this podcast episode and the table itself in the "useful stuff" category (which is updated regularly, so make sure to check it from time to time).
See you, Space Cowboy.
